Vintage Summer Camp 2011

Do you miss summer camp? I do!  So here’s the perfect excuse for some creative ‘me’ time this summer – Vintage Summer Camp!

Following on the success of our 2010 Grow-A-Long, this year’s Vintage Summer Camp will have a diverse range of projects and no special mailing list to subscribe to – it will all be here on the blog.  And the best part, you don’t even need a garden!

How does it work?

The goal of summer camp is to have fun.  But the competitive goal of summer camp is to collect all 5 of the badges.  People who collect all 5 badges will get special mention on the blog in September!

During July & August I’ll post projects which fall into different ‘badge’ categories.  Complete a project from each category and then share a photo of it (either leave a comment with a link to your photo or blog post about the project, or upload a photo to our flickr group)  to earn that badge.  Get all 5 badges to be a successful summer camp graduate!

Sharing our projects is what makes it like summer camp.  As you probably learned when you were 9 years old, you might go to summer camp alone, but you always leave with a bunch of new friends!  So maybe you won’t make best friends at our virutal summer camp – but you will get tons of ideas, inspiration and support for taking some ME time this summer.

This is where you’ll be able to see the projects completed so far:

What are the badges?

Here are the 5 summer camp badges you need to collect.  When you’ve completed a project let me know and I’ll send you the code to include the badge on your site!
